{"id":936,"date":"2019-01-24T13:55:43","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T13:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1114438108.test.prositehosting.co.uk\/?p=936"},"modified":"2024-02-12T11:36:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T11:36:02","slug":"crec-trial-site-in-benin-achieves-glp-certification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.flawlesstesting.com\/innovationtoimpact\/crec-trial-site-in-benin-achieves-glp-certification\/","title":{"rendered":"CREC Trial Site in Benin Achieves GLP Certification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CREC\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lshtm.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LSHTM<\/a> testing facility in Cotonou, Benin, has become the second vector control field site in Africa to achieve GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) certification from the SANAS inspection body.<\/p>\r\n<p>The site has been supported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ivcc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IVCC<\/a> as part of a programme to improve the quality and reliability of data produced at African trials sites.<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1114438108.test.prositehosting.co.uk\/workstreams\/good-labratory-practice-glp\/\">GLP enhances the reproducibility and reliability of data generated in field trials<\/a> and so is important for the creation of robust product dossiers for new vector control products and their review by WHO.<\/p>\r\n<p>GLP is a also key contributor to the principle of manufacturer-generated data which is integral to <a href=\"http:\/\/1114438108.test.prositehosting.co.uk\/about-us\/\">i2i\u2019s mission<\/a> of bringing greater efficiency to product evaluation.<\/p>\r\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pamverc.or.tz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo) in Moshi, Tanzania<\/a>, was the first to be accredited in 2016, and there are five more sites in Africa working towards the achievement as part of the same programme of support.<\/p>\r\n<p>Details of these sites, along with those in Asia and Latin American which are being supported by WHO towards the same goal, can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.flawlesstesting.com\/innovationtoimpact\/workstreams\/testing-site-index\/\">on our trial site testing index.<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p>i2i would like to congratulate all those at CREC, LSHTM and IVCC who contributed to this achievement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CREC\/LSHTM testing facility in Cotonou, Benin, has become the second vector control field site in Africa to achieve GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) certification from the SANAS inspection body.
