“I procured the services of the JP McKim team on a recent project at IAG cargo centre at Heathrow airport to deliver mechanical services. They were procured to replace a contractor who was failing to meet dates and we had ongoing issues with quality of installation. There was a cross over between contractors on site and the JP McKim team behaved professionally and even assisted the outgoing contractor to complete their works.

I initially awarded a small section of the works to JP McKim to assess quality and competence and throughout the works they carried out on site they delivered to programme and on occasions beat the programme. When we experienced access issues on site and could not get access they work hard to redeploy the teams as best they could with generally little impact, ensuring that they kept the downtime and costs to a minimum. I had JP McKim carry out a quality review of the previous contractor’s work, and all quality issues were resolved, the management team were transparent, and costs were kept to a minimum.

The support the site team had from the management was excellent, the site team’s professionalism was exceptional, record keeping was faultless and assisted in the applications and assessments for payment and the client were extremely satisfied with the quality and the high standards of health and safety displayed by the site team.

Regardless of what was asked of the site team they were able to support the project and deliver. This included procurement of materials when my procurement department let me down, hire of access equipment at short notice and labour only to assist the electrical contractor when they had issues with labour. 

JP McKim were also able to provide logistics support which included their facility at Skyport Drive close to Heathrow Airport.  I was able to negotiate a 3-month initial contract for the use of the facility, this included a rolling month on month extension as required at no premium and the use of their logistics warehouse team to sort the equipment as it arrived, track and trace equipment and deliver to site, only paying for the time we used rather than having full time warehouse resource in place.

I will happily use the JP McKim team again and would recommend them to any supplier thinking of using them.”
